The style the client wanted was Minimalist Spanish revival 1930's. A great style to give the space personality. The main problem is how to have everything the client needs while maintaining the desired 'minimalist' look.
The ceilings were 10 ft high, and according to their preferred design, the client wanted wood beams. Because the room is somewhat rectangular, I placed the wood beams on the long side, so that the room looks spacious. I also added walnut wood panels to the ceiling, to make it even more beautiful.
The three mandatory things that clients want in the kitchen are a refrigerator, range, and dishwasher, all of which are 24 inches wide. Of course the intention is to save space. The sink are placed in front of a small window for safety, and lined it up with the dishwasher and refrigerator to make workflow easier.
For the stove, built-in stove with oven is preferred because it saves space and to decorate the stove hood I decorated the cabinet with some arcs. Apart from that, the microwave is placed in its own cabinet. The arrangement of the built-in kitchen cabinets is such that even though they are small, they still have enough space to prepare food.
The client also wanted a table nook with enough seating for 4. The walls are decorated with with sconces and a painting to warm up the atmosphere of the dining area. On half the wall of the kitchen and dining area, Then, add a peel-and-stick backsplash with a texture that resembles shiny natural stone for an earthy impression.
The living room is intended as a place to relax, equipped with a TV and seating. But to perfect the touch of a Spanish house, a fireplace was added to the design. The fireplace is also decorated with candles to provide a warmer atmosphere. Even though the space is small, a sectional sofa with a minimalist size is mandatory for comfort.
